IIT will Conduct Entrance Exams in Abroad Sooner



Joining in any of the Indian Institutions of Technology (IIT) is certainly dream of plenty of young engineering aspirants in India and even abroad as well. The major reason behind that is, you can have a plenty of opportunities with any of these prestigious institutions like hefty package jobs, research programs and various other life changing aspects. However, joining in these top technical institutes in India isn't that easy for sure. IIT-JEE is the only way to join for the undergraduate courses and GATE is the gateway for the Post-Graduate courses and some other entrance examinations for the rest few courses.


IIT to Conduct Entrance Exams in Abroad:

Though, there are certain percentage of seats made available for the foreign students for various courses in the IIT campus, they should come to India to write the entrance examinations accordingly. Just in order to make sure the attending the entrance examinations for the IIT’s easier, IIT panel is planning to conduct the entrance examinations even in abroad sooner.


IIT to Increase Courses Fees:

A proposal for a three-fold hike in annual fees of IITs from the present Rs 90,000 was on Thursday approved by an IIT panel though a final decision would require the nod of HRD Minister Smriti Irani. Another key recommendation the Standing Committee of IIT Council (SCIC) made was that the proposed new entrance examination designed to test the aptitude conducted by a National Authority of Test (NAT) would be held from 2017 onwards. However, the Final decision in this regard too rests with Irani. According to the some report to daily, the IIT spokesperson said that, “"However, the sub-committee has been again asked to consider if this fee hike should also be applied to students studying at Postgraduate level as they are studying on a fellowship basis".


IIT Entrance Exams in 8 Countries:


Another committed with the IIT proposed about conducting the IIT Entrance examination across abroad. Yes, Another nod that the committee is learnt to have given is regarding a proposal to hold IIT admission tests in eight countries abroad to attract the best of foreign students.
