JEE
(Joint Entrance examination)
The Joint entrance examination (JEE) is
conducted every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and
Indian Institutes of technology (IITs) for the candidates who are aspiring for
the engineering courses and technical education in IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISER,
government engineering colleges and the top ranking private engineering
colleges. The below given information summarizes about the JEE examination
Mains 2015.

The various colleges/universities which
refer to the JEE Mains examination scores are given below. IIITs, CFTIs, SFTIs
and NITs are the colleges and universities require the JEE Mains score. The JEE
examination all India Ranks are also considered for the Government engineering
colleges and top ranking private engineering colleges and universities.
Selection
criteria
The candidates will be selected on the
basis of the All India ranks (AIR) which are calculated on the basis of the JEE
mains score 2015 and class twelfth board score marks in 60:40 ratio
(normalization ratio). The similar method would be adopted by most of the
colleges and universities.

Main 2015 eligibility criteria
The Joint entrance examination (JEE)
requires the candidate to satisfy the below eligibility criteria to apply for
the entrance examination. The eligibility of JEE Mains differ from the JEE
advanced examination.
The various terms and eligibility criteria
for the JEE entrance Mains are given below. The candidates are requested to
read them carefully before applying for the entrance examination.
1.
The candidate must have passed
the class XII qualifying examination (or its equivalent) in 2012 or 2013.
2.
The results of the qualifying examination, if
announced after June 15 are rather advised not to apply for the Joint entrance
examination Mains.
3.
If the candidate has applied to
the JEE more than three times and has attempted, the candidate is ineligible
for JEE mains 2015.
4.
The candidate must be born on or after 1st
October, 1989. (SC/ST/PwD for the 1984 )
5.
If a candidate has passed the
class 12th with four subjects in 2012 or 2013, he/she can apply.
However the candidate passing out in the year 2015, has to write five subjects.
6.
The eligibility norms are
applied to the candidates belonging to Maharasthra and Odisha.
JEE
Main exam pattern
The JEE examination is based on the
syllabus of class 11th and 12th Chemistry, Maths and
Physics. The duration of the examination is three hours. For every correct
answer, the candidate will be rewarded one mark and one incorrect answer will
have ¼ marks cut from the original marks.
JEE
admit cards and counselling
The admit cards may be downloaded from the
official website by the candidates. Once the examination results are made
public, the candidates undergo counselling and allotted seats will be based on
the All India ranks 2015.
