Application
Process
In order to appear for the JEE examination
(Main) and JEE examination (Advanced), the candidates are required to apply
online. The candidates are requested to go through and visit the website completely
and ascertain their eligibility before filling up the application form online. The
successful online submission of the particulars will lead to the confirmation
page with a generated application number. The candidates are then required to
take the print out of the confirmation page on a A4 sheet of paper and paste
the candidates photograph ( read specifications) and the left hand thumb
impression.
The confirmation page must be signed by the
parent/guardian of the candidate and should be also signed by the gazetted
officer at the last institution studied. The duly completed and filled in
application should be sent in a registered post/speed post to the JEE Main
office on or before the last date at the given address below.

The application fee payment can be made as
a) By credit/debit card
b) By demand draft issued by a scheduled
commercial bank in favour of Secretary , CBSE, payable at Delhi.
The candidates have to send in their
application confirmation page either by registered post/speed post to the JEE
Main office along with the demand draft from any scheduled bank if the payment
is made through the demand draft. If the candidate has made their payment
through credit/debit card, they only have to send in their confirmation page
with the application fee transaction to the address given. The confirmation
either sent through courier/hand delivered will be directly rejected without
any further correspondence.
Proofs
for having sent the application confirmation page
The candidates are advised to retain the
following with themselves as a proof of having sent the application
confirmation page.
1.
A photocopy of the confirmation
page carrying the application number
2.
Copy of receipt of the
application fee as per the mode of remittance of examination fee.
3.
Original receipt of
speed/registered post.
Selection
of the candidates
The candidates shall be offered admission
based on their choices and the primarily on the basis of their All India ranks
of the JEE (Main) through a counselling procedure. The candidates have to keep
checking and finding the choices of their branches/programmes and institutes at
the appropriate time. The OMR answer sheets along with the responses captured
will be put on the website for the verification of the candidates. The
verification of documents would be done at the time of the
counselling/admission. The purpose of this is to verify the various records
regarding the identification, age, qualifying examination, state of the
eligibility, and candidate of the candidate.
